If you love to exercise, don’t you find it quite a challenge to stick to your routine when you travel?
I know I do.
I’m constantly looking for ways to stay somewhat fit and sometimes it works out.
Yoga has been the easiest because I travel with my mat and follow videos on DoYogaWithMe.com.
But, this time, in Orange County, California it was different.
She’s a belly dancer, a Zumba instructor, a yoga instructor AND a Reiki healer.
She’s a very kind and empathetic soul, which make her classes feel like home.
She was kind enough to do a collaboration with me and let me interview her.
• What does being courageously free mean to you? •
Freeing your mind from ALL fears including yourself.
Once you do that, then your whole world becomes free to you.
Meaning that everything that is to your highest and greatest and good can be achieved and available to you every day at all times. And that feels euphorically freeing.
• Our journey from A to B is never a straight line. What do you do to motivate yourself when you need that extra push over the hump? •
I ask for signs.
Just like a freeway but with no visible GPS. The Universe keeps me on track by showing me the signs. It could literally be a ‘sign’ talking about something I might be thinking about, OR a song that just happens to be on right when I was asking the question in my mind. OR!, it could be what I call ‘Randoms’, (which are 3 random people that don’t know each other from no where and they all say/suggest the same exact thing to you at different times within a week or two).
Also known as Angels in human form, that say those things to you in regards of something I might be contemplating. Those are the most exciting ones to me-hence the exclamation point on the OR!
I‘m also a big believer in Affirmations.
Any person who tries to motivate themselves to keep pushing forward through something that for whatever reason keeps pushing them away, can come very easily through self-affirmations. If that doesn’t work, consider not fighting the flow and find a different path within that path. Everything happens for a reason and in its own divine time. Be open and you can still receive. It just maybe not the way you ‘planned it’. And if it still difficult, then maybe it wasn’t meant to be and you are not looking at the right signs.
AND, not everyday do I jump out of bed breaking out in song. However, in the same breath, I am very grateful that I was allowed another healthy day in this healthy and pain free body. Not everyone gets that opportunity. Some people say that they would die for their children. Think about that saying…that is too easy to check out from their life.
How about we ‘check in’ and stay alive, healthy, loving and strong for our children to help guide them through their current life as we LIVE by example and compassion.
• What was one piece of advice given to you that youʼve taken to heart and implemented?•
From my YogaWorks instructor and everyone who has told me over the years that looks will only provides the door of opportunity.
It is up to you to know your stuff (know your information and know who you are) to keep walking through that door and many more to come. My old self would have taken that to what I like to call, “hatorade”.
My new open, loving, compassionate self took it in a different perspective as more of a sign. And I did just that. Worked on myself through meditation, exercise, educating myself on spirituality & Reiki classes regarding channeling energy, teaching classes and helping others.
• How are you generating revenue? • (I had to ask this.. these are questions from my podcast lol)
Doing what I love!
I have always been active growing up so I teach regular Yoga, Pilates, Zumba and belly dance classes to provide a steady income.
I also train as many clients that my schedule allows since not everyone is gym rat and most of us are starting to work more from home. I also perform as a professional belly dancer for showcases and private events that pay quite well actually! This allows my creativity to flow through the physical body.
I use my psychic abilities and do card readings along with my Reiki training to provide a spiritual way of healing for my clients. The goal is to share what I know works through my trainings and the people I have met so that everyone can achieve their highest and greatest good. Makes for a peaceful world.
• What is one piece of advice you would tell our little geniuses to push them to work to living towards their greatness?•
Watch Alice in Wonderland-the original cartoon.
And as their parent, watch it with them and look for the similarities in real life. Explain to the child, or any young soul (some are in an older body but seem very youthful inside-that would mean them too) that everyone will have an opinion on how you should be, not everyone is correct for what is right for you.
Listen with an open heart and mind and REMBER WHO YOU ARE.
This is a journey and everything is temporary so enjoy every moment before things change again as you grow. Change is growth.
• What are some actionable steps you took to get to where you are now? •
Quieting the mind.
Anyone can do this alone or in a group setting but not everyone knows how.
Try a meditation class to guide you or a yoga class to at least release some of the anxiety out of your body so that it may rest while you focus on quieting the mind in Savasana.
Remember that is the first step, getting over yourself, your fears, quiet the noise that talks us out of what is to our highest and greatest good.
In Buddhist life they call this Vrtti Sarupyam Itaratra. ‘Vrtti = Modifications of the mind-stuff; Sarupyam = assumes the forms; Itaratra = at other times. * In other words: At other times [the Self appears to] assume the forms of the mental modifications.’
GET OVER YOURSELF method.
• What books or audio or other media would you recommend to the little geniuses listening and why? •

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Sri Swami Satchidananda (To have a different perspective/understanding of why we act the way we do and offering a different way of doing/thinking.)
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz (Four easy life practices to change your world into the world that is to your highest and greatest good.) Back cover reads: “In The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering.
