Caddy Ranch a Must See in Texas

Have you ever seen the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas?

It’s not actually a ranch.

Well, ok maybe it is. It’s a car ranch.

So, there was this dude named Chip Lord who created it in 1974.

He created it with Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels

It was an art installation with old school cars.

This is what it originally looked like:

Pretty cool aye?

It doesn’t quite look like that anymore.

Over the year people have come out to have a bit of fun… climbing.. painting and what not.

Guess what we did when we were there?

I’m not telling you.. you’ve gotta watch!

It was a super cool stop on our 9 day RV Trip from Los Angeles to Orlando, Florida during our first year of travels.

Even though I had seen photos, it wasn’t what I expected for some reason.

It literally is just a bunch of nearly vertical caddies on a hunk of land off the highway.

No fancy pants building to pay to get in, no security… just a load of fun.

The Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas is a must see if you’re in the area.
